Wow, what a salt. This is a very popular salt with the cooking crowd. As the name would indicate, it is grey in color and moist. This moistness allows the salt to be used to create compound or complex salts. When you combine it with something like rosemary powder, you then have rosemary salt. The moisture will cause the powder to bond with the salt. This salt is great for cooking with a mild salty taste. While it is a coarse salt, because of its moisture content it is not recommended for salt grinders.
