Colonel’s Digital Cookbook- Wednesday, February 27, 2013

This is the new “Cookbook on a stick”. It is believed to be the very first cookbook on a memory stick. Both Mac and Windows format is on the stick. Simply copy your computer type folder onto the hard drive of your computer and you are ready to start cooking. The Colonel has included well over 400 recipes and there is no limit to the number of your own recipes that you can enter. It takes about 4 minutes to enter a recipe. It them becomes part of the search engine that is built into the cookbook.

There is also an encyclopedia of over 100 spices. The encyclopedia tells you where the spices are from, interesting historic anecdotes, how they are used, and if there are substitutes and what those substitutes are.

Another section is an herb & spice compendium. Here you can look up 75 different foods and food groups and learn what spices are usually used to prepare them. This is a very helpful section for a novice.

Finally there is a conversion chart including conversion from Fahrenheit to Centigrade and  about 20 different helpful hints from the kitchen.

The cookbook retails for $30.00.
